If Nokia wants to sell 50 million Symbian smartphones in the next few years it is well known they’d have to get more competitive in terms of pricing and availability. It looks like they finally realized that and have slashed the price of their two top phones on Amazon. The Nokia E7 has taken a dramatic price decrease and can now be purchased for $489.99 shipped and the N8 for $389.99. The green N8 can be acquired for $349.99 on Amazon right now! That’s one of the best deals I’ve seen for a Nokia smartphone. I recently got my hands on the green N8 and it has quickly become my second favorite color in the N8 family. Sports Tracker is a rather well-known Symbian app that has existed for several years now. Originally a Nokia Beta Labs project, its developers have since spun it out of Nokia and formed an independent company, Sports Tracking Technologies, around this app. As the name suggests, Sports Tracker is an app that relies on GPS and helps you track, manage, analyze and share your workouts, essentially turning your Symbian device into a connected sports computer. I decided that the best way to review such an app would be to use Sports Tracker on an actual workout. Hence, I grabbed my bike and got going one early morning when the sky was still dark.
